Fitness Gym: A place where people can workout all components of fitness (Cardiovascular, Strength and Endurance, Flexibility) in an efficient and effective manner. Fitness Gym is simply a place where people can achieve total body workout in a comfortable setting.Training in a Fitness Gym should cover 3 main categories of Fitness and they are Cardiovascular, Strength and Endurance and Flexibility. Hence, our trainers have come out with an innovative approach by developing an exclusive DIY- program called POWER 10, that can focuses on major muscle groups in the body, as well as cardiovascular benefits.
About Power 10 Circuit (DIY)
Power Circuit 10 (PCT 10) comprises of 10 functional exercises that are selected carefully and is best performed using our pre-set equipment with different tension levels (up 100kg of resistance in each station) to cater for different fitness level and of course, with your own body weight! Now, you can have an AWESOME workout at our FITNESS GYM!
All trainers at JA BODYWORKS FITNESS GYM emphasizes heavily on correct exercise techniques. We are training to be fitter and not to get ourselves injured! For first-time members, a round of gym orientation will be provided by our in-house professional trainer!

Q: Fitness professionals are shying away from machine-based workout and seek for alternatives. WHY?
A: Weight machines are expensive, require a fitness gym membership and are often ineffective training tools because they focus on isolation exercises, relying exclusively on machines for strength training may actually limit sports performance and increase injury risk.
Q: Are heavy-duty sophisticated equipment and cardio-machines in Fitness Gym necessary for the best workout???
A: Training primarily with machines is inefficient because you are moving resistance along a fixed axis, not freely in space as the body normally functions. Machines are not functional and in fact, can actually create poor motor patterns in some people. Functional training is defined as movements or exercises that improve a person’s ability to complete their daily activities or to achieve fitness goals like fat lost and building muscles or just simply looking good!
Q: Are dumbbells or barbells (Free weights) necessary in Fitness gym?
A: Free weights provides a more functional workout if exercise is conducted in a right variation and right way. Unless you are professionally-trained, most people training with free weights have some form of injuries due to improper techniques. In addition, the gym floor have to big enough to accommodate more functional exercises like “Dumbbell wood chopper – Look at PCT 7” There are many alternatives to training with free weights and that includes different variations of bodyweight training using suspension trainer, Vigourbands or Power Cords. Most importantly, if your exercises are assisted by a fitness professional, you will still achieve the results that you want in Fitness Gyms that provides functional training equipment or program like JA BODYWORKS.

Q: Aren’t Aerobic Classes and Treadmill enough?
A: A Big NO! A resistance training program that includes balance, core stability, strength and cardiovascular conditioning builds lean muscle mass. Power10 is functional and involves movements that are similar to Metabolic CoreFx and Craft that utilizes and strengthens more muscle groups in your body!
